Paul Grounds, founder of GÜD Studio, is a Blue Mountains-based building designer, renowned for his bespoke and highly functional residential designs. Specialising in custom homes that complement the relaxed and casual Australian lifestyle, he collaborates closely with clients to deliver designs that are both refined and distinctively tailored.

Paul has built a diverse portfolio through over fifteen years of designing custom homes, ranging from intimate beachside retreats to larger family acreage residences. Having completed Bachelor of Design in Architecture at the University of Newcastle, Diploma of Architectural Technology at TAFE NSW and Advanced Diploma of Sustainable Building Design at the VIA University in Denmark and TAFE NSW, Paul’s contemporary Australian design sensibility has been refined by the minimalist principles and thoughtful practicality characteristic of Scandinavian architecture.

While he lives in the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney, he delivers projects from the Central Coast and Northern Beaches to the Sutherland Shire, South Coast and Southern Highlands, the Eastern Suburbs to the Central west.

Paul’s hobbies include gardening with his dogs, house restoration with his dogs, hiking with his dogs, camping with his dogs and going to the beach with his dogs.
